The Yarrenyty Arltere Artists are among the standout contributors to the National Gallery of Australia’s fifth National Indigenous Art Triennial, After the Rain, opening in Canberra on 6 December 2025. The exhibition explores renewal, resilience and cultural transformation through ten newly commissioned, large-scale installations.
Known for their deeply expressive soft sculptures and multidisciplinary practice, the Yarrenyty Arltere Artists bring a poignant, community-driven perspective to the Triennial’s theme of rebirth.
The exhibition unites elders and emerging voices to honour cultural memory while imagining future possibilities. Designed to be physically and emotionally immersive, 'After the Rain' invites audiences to reflect on renewal and the enduring strength of First Nations storytelling.
The exhibition runs from 6 December 2025 - 26 April 2026 at the National Gallery of Australia, before touring nationally.
